Christmas window displays part 2

Sticking with luxury (my preferred mode)! Here is the 2nd part of my London Christmas windows round up which looks at some of the best high-end fashion Xmas window schemes around town. From Noah’s arc to a festive banquet...you can be sure that these stores will entice you in and have you adding presents to your Christmas wish list in the twinkle of an eye.

Obviously, stopping off at Claridges hotel is a must. You know me darlings, a glass of champagne and a peek at their grand Christmas tree is a tradition on these pages! This Year Burberry’s Creative Director and CEO, Christopher Bailey designed the famous tree for this landmark London hotel. Featuring over 100 umbrellas covered in gold and silver metallic fabric, this year’s tree was a witty reflection of the playfulness of the season and to mark the brand’s heritage.

Speaking of Christmas trees, I must tell you about one I came across on my travels....the Connaught Hotel Christmas tree on Mount Street. Standing over 30ft tall, this beauty will have you totally perplexed until you realise what the decorations represent! Designed by infamous artist Damien Hirst, the tree is a celebration of the miraculous power of science and medicine and the hope it can offer. Never traditional, always thought provoking, that's Damien, for sure!

Keep an eye out for tomorrow’s post, where we will be taking a look at London’s best high-street Christmas window displays.

Ciao for now
