Step inside my showroom...

As promised darlings, I can now reveal my newly re-styled showroom which excites me enormously!

A few weeks ago, my chums at Proportion London and I got together and threw a fabulous breakfast soiree for the launch of MADEMOISELLE (Proportion's latest female mannequin range). Clients and friends came and admired the re-style and all of the product so perfectly presented in the art gallery like space. As we nibbled on French toast and drank champagne, it dawned on me that my stunning home should be shared with my friends across the world! So I hereby give you an exclusive tour (and also a cheeky selfie or two)!
Mademoiselle - the lady herself!

The MADEMOISELLE range exudes an incredible freshness with refined elegance. She embodies contemporary romance whilst hinting at a cool nonchalance - in short, she is my kinda gal! Adding to her prettiness, she is styled in crisp white with accents of luscious violets, cool blues and tranquil greens. The full range consists of ten dynamic figures, each position created with defined yet understated movement and delicately expressive hands, which capture eloquent mid gesture poses - enhancing her characteristics further. An abstract head with ghosted back features, plus a semi-realistic version are available on all figures, whilst sculpted hair pieces and a headless upholstered option complete the range.

THEORY male and female mannequins stand tall on mirror boxed plinths - adding drama and contrast to the space. Finished in monochrome matt and gloss graphics, this range provides ultimate impact. The versatility of the collection can be mind blowing - for instance, by adding wig and makeup or having a headless version, the same range of figures can have endless looks. Genius!

Making a special appearance for a limited time only, is the thought provoking artwork and photography by Roger Miles and Fraser Carr Miles. Their work documents the decommissioning of my old factory home through a series of images and objects which capture the beauty and craft of mannequin production. The pieces are on sale, so if you have your eye on something make sure you enquire quickly!

Of course some of the all time favourite collections are on show, such as COMPONENTS, RAW, VINTAGE and BESPOKE, but what I would really like to show you is the revamped BOUDOIR range. This irresistible collection of bodies and accoutrements is designed specifically for the presentation of lingerie and hosiery type merchandise. And I think it looks especially stunning in its new sophisticated palette of rose gold, and muted berry colours. Simply divine!

Christmas window displays part 2

Sticking with luxury (my preferred mode)! Here is the 2nd part of my London Christmas windows round up which looks at some of the best high-end fashion Xmas window schemes around town. From Noah’s arc to a festive banquet...you can be sure that these stores will entice you in and have you adding presents to your Christmas wish list in the twinkle of an eye.

Obviously, stopping off at Claridges hotel is a must. You know me darlings, a glass of champagne and a peek at their grand Christmas tree is a tradition on these pages! This Year Burberry’s Creative Director and CEO, Christopher Bailey designed the famous tree for this landmark London hotel. Featuring over 100 umbrellas covered in gold and silver metallic fabric, this year’s tree was a witty reflection of the playfulness of the season and to mark the brand’s heritage.

Speaking of Christmas trees, I must tell you about one I came across on my travels....the Connaught Hotel Christmas tree on Mount Street. Standing over 30ft tall, this beauty will have you totally perplexed until you realise what the decorations represent! Designed by infamous artist Damien Hirst, the tree is a celebration of the miraculous power of science and medicine and the hope it can offer. Never traditional, always thought provoking, that's Damien, for sure!

Keep an eye out for tomorrow’s post, where we will be taking a look at London’s best high-street Christmas window displays.

Ciao for now

Christmas 2015 window displays part 1

Hunnies, the countdown to Christmas has begun, and what better way to kick off our annual Christmas window round-up, than with a spot of shopping and window gazing at London’s favourite luxury department store windows.

Its ‘show time’ at Harrods, with windows replicating theatre scenes, but creating further magic and really stealing the show is a below the stage floor scene, filled with Christmas mice preparing for the performances.

The party season is in full swing at Harvey Nichols and ‘disco-glam’ comes to mind; Mirror balls, glitter and sequins.. how fabulous! And not forgetting the cleverly designed gigantic faces made from metallic gift boxes.

Selfridges dedicate their windows to each of the zodiac signs, set against an outer space backdrop.  The sophisticated theme is a personal favourite as each window filled me with anticipation for the next.  To shop for your zodiac and to view all the star sign windows you can visit the Selfridges website. Naturally my window is ‘wild at heart’ what is yours?
Liberty is the ‘home of Christmas’ this year with a recreation of a traditional dolls house and in true Liberty style, an eclectic mix of luxurious gifts, prints and sets fill the windows.
Must dash off now my darlings, but stay tuned for the next installment of London's best Christmas windows…
